In an unfortunate latest news, Karan Paranjpe, aged 26, passed away at his residence Sunday morning. Paranjpe was a television actor in the popular TV serial Dil Mill Gaye which aired on Star One between 2007 and 2010. He was also part of the popular TV serial Sanjeevani, a medical drama, in which he portrayed the role of Jignesh. The plot of the serial was focused on the lives of doctors who worked in a hospital known as Sanjeevani. Similar to Sanjeevani, the show Dil Mill Gaye also had a hospital theme as a backdrop and the storyline focused on the growing romance between medical interns at the hospital. The serial also had actors Karan Singh Grover and actress Jennfier Winget as part of its lineup.
Paranjpe also had a stint with the channel B4U as a presenter. According to his page on Instagram, he was also a producer for the show. Karan Paranjpe is survived by his mother.
His untimely demise has shocked the television community who took to social media to offer their condolences and support to the bereaved for their loss. His co-star Karan Wahi declared his grief on Instagram with a photograph of him and Paranjpe with the words, “You will be missed dear JIGS. Rest in peace, my friend.” Another of his co-star Shehban Azmi also shared his photographs of Paranjpe writing, “Gone too soon, my friend! May your soul rest in peace. You will always be remembered.” Speaking to a leading national daily, Azmi said, “We got to know about his
death yesterday. All we got to know was that he slept and never woke up.”

While there is no confirmed word about the actor’s reason for death, it is suspected that Karan, aged just 26, had suffered a sudden and massive cardiac arrest while he was sleeping. It is reported that the actor was found to have passed away by his mother at his residence at 11 AM on Sunday morning. The news about Karan Paranjpe’s early demise was shared by his Dil Mill Gaye co-star Karan Wahi, who portrayed the character of Dr. Siddhant Modi on the show. In addition to acting, Karan Paranjpe was also a part of a few shows purely in a creative role.
A source from the production team of the TV show Dil Mill Gaye called Paranjpe a fun loving person who, after a short while spent in TV acting, went on to work in the music industry. He was engaged with a popular talk show and conducted off beat interviews with TV and film celebrities.
